COLOR ADDICTION: Inside Uzumaki's Dreamy, Furry Installation with Arctic Fox Hair Color

We're absolutely obsessed with our latest collaboration with Uzumaki Gallery. Artist Uzumaki Cepeda transformed Wonzimer Los Angeles Contemporary Gallery into a dreamy, colorful, and undeniably furry art installation inspired by Arctic Fox Hair Color. The result? An immersive world called COLOR ADDICTION that challenges everything you thought you knew about color, hair, and creative expression. We grabbed some time with Uzumaki to talk about the inspiration, her favorite shades, and those little details you won't miss.

1. COLOR ADDICTION is such a unique concept. What inspired you to create this immersive world?

The inspiration came from how we style our hair. We really thought about "What does faux fur really look like besides fur on an animal? This looks like hair!" So, we just really got into that bag of how we can style faux fur like hair.

2. Was there a particular Arctic Fox shade that became your favorite while creating the looks?

My favorite shade was definitely Peach Prosecco, like THIS right here is what carried the show! It made the wig and I mixed it with a bunch of stuff throughout the installation. If my hair wasn't black it would be Peach Prosecco.

3. Every detail feels SO intentional. Was there one piece that you're especially proud of?

One piece I'm especially proud of is definitely the Scary Lamp, y'all can get into her she's great. I think the second piece I'm extremely proud of is the finger wave on the wall. I think this is one of the best details in the room.

4. If your exhibit had a theme song, what would it be?

The theme song for Color Addiction would be eat the pavement by Dev Lemons. If you know you know!
